Equipment sign-out

With the exception of the supplies you'll have to purchase, all other equipment needed for processing and printing is available from the stockroom in the photo lab. To sign-out equipment and use the lab, you must present a valid NU ID card. You will need to have your picture taken and put into the computer, and you will be responsible for returning all equipment in good condition and in a timely manner. The stockroom is off-limits except to lab attendants and faculty.

You can also sign-out departmental cameras - both SLR (35mm and medium format) and digital - as well as tripods and lighting equipment, for overnight or for weekends.

Darkroom procedures

These rooms are available for you to use anytime the photo lab is open; the schedule is usually posted on the door. During a scheduled class, however, students from that class have priority in using the lab and its equipment.
